Have a Barnett crossbow that came with a cheap little scope. At 40 yards it puts the arrows about 4 inches to the right no matter how much you adjust the scope (I know aim 4 inches to the left). What is a decent scope to switch this thing out with?

Thanks

I’ve used regular Leupold VXIII rifle scopes for years, and they’ve worked great. I also used an Eotech for a while but went back to a regular scope for magnification due to failing eye sight.

I have a Barnett penetrator that came with that same scope. It has five reticle lines for yardage but I couldn’t see them in low light conditions. I switched to a vortex with the v-brite reticle. Just the dot where the lines cross lights up, not the whole thing

I use a Tru Glo 4X-32mm on my crossbow, and the 4 lines starting at the top are dead on at 20, 30, 42 and 53 yards.

At 20 and 30 yards, you can cover 3 bolt holes with a dime.

At 42 and 53 yards, you can cover 3 bolt holes with a nickle.

I can't afford the good stuff, so I just use what works for me. :thumb:
