Here, but occasionally There.
I’d keep it the same. Only thing I’d put in the new one at the moment is it would be easier to execute treasonous politicians in an expedited manner. And on second thoughts I’d reinstate the no voting if not a land owner. Also get make it were they couldn’t tax income or property again.

So, anyone living in an apartment, or in any circumstance where they aren't the landowner, must be subject to those that do own land? I don't think so. That would alienate an awful lot of people for no good reason. If such were the law, there would have been many times I couldn't have voted, including the time that I spent in the military.

I'm not so sure the veterans on this forum would appreciate risking their lives but being unable to vote.

They would just start selling land by the square inch so everyone could vote.

I agree with @TerryMiller. In addition to his point, basically only the "wealthy" would have a vote.

Which is how it used to be... and the wealthy just accumulated more and more, sometimes just with the intention of preventing "poor people" from having a right to vote.

And as for selling land by the inch, well, the wealthy landowning voters would just pass a law that land could only be sold by the acre, or more.

People in power don't want to share power. They find ways to keep from having it diluted.

Perhaps those that vote should "have some money in the game." That is contribute-give vs take? Maybe that is why those that feel that people that live in apartments shouldn't be allowed to vote? I feel everyone should contribute and not sit on the sidelines "watching the game." There are some that cannot contribute due to health considerations but those that are able-bodied and healthy could add something to our country and I'm not talking about community organizers or organizing street demonstrations by another name. Help the elderly, widows, orphans and visit those that are sick or int he hospital-and if they can't do that at least be of good nature, cheerful and treat others with respect and smile-people will wonder what you're up to....
Just rambling on a Sunday AM... Maybe I shouldn't have posted this but I've already pushed the button.

- Require & enforce US border security. Allow the National Guard to actually guard the nation (with live ammo).

- Make any attempt to legislate/enforce infringements on a US citizen's right to keep and bear arms a felony, with a minimum 1 year jail time for each offense.

- Prohibit Congress from passing any laws that does not apply to themselves.

- Set term limits for Congress.

- Require all candidates to be nominated by party primary elections (consider "Independent" a party). Divide all campaign contributions equally among nominated candidates, including incumbents.

EDIT - Limit Federal government's power over State's rights.

Just a few thoughts. :drunk2:

That’s how the framers set it up and there was a good reason for it. Like another person commented on here if you don’t have skin in the game then you shouldn’t have a say just like illegal aliens shouldn’t. It has nothing to do with being rich then or now. People that are industrious and work hard tend to more often than not have property. Weather it is your house and land a farm or just a business. Not to mention that gives you incentive. Think of this mind blown twist, voting was and still isn’t a right. It’s a privilege. There are exceptions, like invalids, handicaps, mentally challenged, or those that didn’t plan ahead and are too old or inmates. The point is it basically prevented people’s vote from being bought like they are nowadays. Not to mention you couldn’t tax land because that was taxing your vote.

The overwhelming portion of the Democrat party vote for whoever gives them the most. Like I said in my previous post if we get rid of income and property tax that would pretty much neuter the Democrat party because it is what they thrive on bribing their base with.

On another note, you are welcome. I’m one of those “vets”
