your kidding right??
You do realize this pot thing id still relatively new and once its more relaxed and overall excepted, like alcohol, which has been a comman thing all of our lives but kills hundreds of thousands of people each year, then no cop will flinch at it and regulations on it are only going down from here on out.
The same is headed in for other criminal justice reform as well.
you should embrace that overall principal as a free American.
I was referring to zoning codes and facility security requirements. I know he's legal with the activity itself. Except for the selling out of his home after hours...

He's going to have issues eventually. No Marijuana insurance company would write this, and I guarantee State Farm, Farmers, or AAA or whomever he has on his home would kick him off quick fast in a hurry if they found out. IF he has a claim then he's screwed too I'd wager.
Correct. I did a deep dive into all the requirements to get the permits he's gotten. Security is his big issue. No cameras to be seen. I'd be shocked to find that he has a monitored service too. Garage door open for hours at a time for all the world to see. At night when he has his tents open, with the grow lights going, his plants are straight up beautiful.

Did all the security stuff pass or is just proposed still. I know there was the self closing/locking door, 8 foot fencing, video monitors and something about the type of windows in the grow area but never heard if it passed.

I assume they did pass. I was reading of the stuff you mention on the OMMA site.

That’s exactly what I’m saying. Once regulation gets eased, it’s going to become even less profitable for the little guy and everyone who thinks they can get rich off pot because they once grew a tomato plant will be run out of business by people that actually know business.

I’m not anti pot at all, so you’re the one who doesn’t know sh$t brother. (I say that lovingly lol).

Right, no one makes any money on alcohol now either since the industry is just too big and people aren't drinking as much as they once were LOL

Something is wrong with you, I've been with your angry azz every step of the way in terms of rights. What I'm saying isn't "anti," it's pertaining to the logistics of business and how everyone and their dog is jumping in with no idea how to run said business. Couple that with large and well funded and thought out growing operations and you can figure out what will happen when you sober up. Finally, I really don't care if you think this is happening or not, because it is. It's honestly no secret that big money has wanted in this business for some time. Hell, the tobacco companies have had full tilt plans for weed since the 80s, they are just waiting for it to go legal federally.

One thing for sure is get ready for more regulation and control, because said people I spoke of earlier, are already doing stupid shyt like selling out of their house.
well I must have misinterpreted your angle.
My most humble apologies

Here’s a notification we received at work. Guess they’re not down with all this free range pot growing and use.

Drug & Alcohol Policy

  • All employees are subject to the Xxxs’ D&A Policy, and all employees and non-employee workers are subject to random and reasonable searches of an individual’s or the company’s property while on Xxx property or engaged in company business, as well as reasonable suspicion D&A testing.
  • Xxxx prohibits employees from concealing, selling, transporting, distributing, or possessing illegal drugs or other controlled substances, as defined by federal or state law, while on duty or on Xxxxs property. It is also a violation of Xxxs’ policy to be under the influence of alcohol, unauthorized prescription drugs, or illegal drugs, to engage in the illegal use of other controlled substances, or to be impaired by any substance while on duty or on Xxxxs’ property.
  • Personnel is advised to use caution when using any products or supplements that have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), including CBD oil. The manufacturing and purification processes for CBD products are generally unregulated, and CBD products commonly contain other cannabinoids, such as THC, the principal psychoactive compound of marijuana. Department of Transportation regulations prohibit the use of marijuana for any reason. Claiming use of a CBD product as the cause of a positive test will not change the result of the test. As a result, employees that test positive for a banned substance or otherwise violate a D&A program as a result of using a CBD product will be subject to disciplinary action as described in the D&A program requirements.
  • Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Not just big tobacco. Take a look at Scott's Miracle-Gro. They have positioned themselves in the hydroponics supply segment specifically with an eye towards a federally decriminalized marijuana environment. That combined with their long standing assets in fertilization and traditional cultivation means they will be running lots of "little guys" out of that part of the biz.

Everyone’s uncles-brother-best friend's-cousin "making a killing" in pot now will hopefully be smart with their money and have a plan.
