Atwoods is close so I went by the morning to pick up a couple of things, I hardly ever go back to their sporting goods dept. but for some reason this morning I did....and there it was !!

They had a new, stainless, Springfield Armory M1911 model PB9151L marked $739.99 + tax ($804.74 OTD)......for the heck of it I just called H & H and they want $769.99 + tax for the same exact model.

I've already taken it apart and cleaned and lubricated it, I've got plans all day tomorrow but hopefully I'll be able to run 100 rounds through it Friday morning.

I find that Academy and Atwood's have great prices mostly. H&H is always higher priced and a long drive.

When I got my 9mm SA RO Elite Champion I saw one the next day at H&H marked for LE only at $100 more than I paid.

I had one back in 05-06 best I can recall. Price has jumped significantly like everything else. It was a sharp looking gun. I just never felt like I could get it clean. Stainless is like a mirror. I have never owned a stainless gun since.
