Even better, how to accomplish things when you don't have the "correct" tool and there's nowhere open to buy it at 2:00 AM. I can say from personal experience this trick works on a Chevy LT1. I guess most wouldn't need to know how to do this anyway since it's for a standard.

However, there is hope. When I went to go pick up my daughter at a friends house this weekend I noticed her friends millennial aged dad had a pretty cool project Z28. My millennial aged son is a CNC operator as well. It's dangerous to overgeneralize too much.

This whole "millennial" thing is growing old. I was out having a few adult beverages with the wife and we were talking to a "millennial" aged guy and the conversation turned to the "participation awards" that are associated with that generation. Well, he made a good point and said that the ones to blame for how they turned out was the generation who RAISED them...as in "we didn't ask for participation trophies, you gave them to us." Pretty good point, I think.

I have a Black & Decker circular saw that I bought for $20 in 1978. It's been dropped off roofs and had a generally hard life. Made of plastic. Still works great.

i was taught to do the same thing with grease many years ago. Honestly life is so much easier with youtube and internet forums. Back in the day you had to figure it out or have someone teach you.

I do agree that kids are products of their parents raising regardless of generation.

Some vehicles don't even come with a spare tire anymore.

Our '17 Kia Soul didn't. They had to meet a certain weight restriction so they replaced the spare with a can of fix-a-flat and a small 12v compressor. I can buy a spare kit (tire and jack) for close to $300, but I also have roadside and towing from both my auto warranty and through my insurance. And both my wife and I know how to change a tire :D
