Got to sight in my scope today or least hope I got it right. I set up a spot, trying to keep everything in line was the hard part, I had to adjust way up and a little over, then on the next shot to see if was hitting spot on, I heard a loud POP like a black cat firecracker went off and felt a puff in my face and was like WTF, kinda had a feeling what it was, opened the bolt and sure enough the case split in the chamber, not sure if the bolt didn't slam shut or what, had to dig it out luckily came out in one piece. Next shot dud, next shot jammed going into chamber dig it out, then finally found out I was spot on, a couple of clicks was hitting dead center.

So then removed my rear 2 piece bench rest use the front rest and aimed for center and was dead on, ran 2 tubes of ammo so I was happy, it was hitting center, wasn't as bad as I thought to sight in a scope, would have been better if setup was better and had some help but I got it done.

Spent most of the day moving gravel that the flood waters washed off our driveway while navigating around the crude oil spill that is still there with no cleanup going on. Cleaned out the ditches removing sediment and debris. Still no drinking water because we can't test it for another couple of days.18 days I think it's been so far.
Have to hand deliver the sample to OKC DEQ because it can only be tested within 28 hours of being taken. No way the pony express can get it there on time.
Good excuse to stop at the new Costco in OKC to pick up some bone in USDA Prime ribeyes for $12.99 per lb.

You can always boil the water. Just pick the debris outta yer teeth...
:drunk2:
It's probably fine as we disinfected the well, but can't test it for 6 days after that. I went a little overboard on the bleach into the well so that extended our waiting period. We have a whole lot more white clothes now for the summer season as a side benefit.

Went to the store late last night and heard a song playing and nearly broke down. Didn't even notice at first what the song was just started getting upset. It was a song that I played my wife a couple years ago when she kept asking why I was still with her and that she was a burden. The song is called f*kin perfect and to me she always was. I noticed after a little bit near the end what was playing and it clicked.

Otherwise I've been doing some stuff to keep myself busy again today. Spent about 45 minutes at the bottom of a pool around 10 feet down. Didn't drown so I guess I did something right. On the way down brand new serpentine belt literally shredded when I got near quail springs mall. Thankfully I had the old one still. New one was a gates green back belt that's supposed to really last... brand new tensioner too. Changed it as the old one had been on it since I bought it so has about 75k miles and 8 or 9 years. Still have the original one that read on it when I bought it as well under the back seat.

Tomorrow I get to drive down to okc as my mother in law is having an upper gi done and to make her feel a little better I told her I would drive down. It's a small price to pay to make her feel a little better when she comes to.

We had an issue with a serpentine belt splitting. In fact, it happened with two or three different belts. Took the Expedition to a Ford dealer and they found a very small piece of rock embedded in the grooves of one of the idler pulleys. When the belts were changed, no one ever noticed the rock, so it kept destroying belts.
