When I first scrolled down, thought we were gonna be in Mesa Verde! This is a trail that I've not been on!

If you are talking about Cliff Springs Trail, it is just a little ways away from Cape Royal as you are leaving Cape Royal and heading back towards the main road to the North Rim lodge area. There is only a small sign indicating the trail at a point where about only 4 vehicles can park in a pull-out across from the sign. It is on a curve.

The wide bend is where the pull-out and trailhead are located. Look to the left of that and you can see a small canyon, which is the location of Cliff Springs. Cliff Springs is where water seeps from the rock and pools on the floor under an overhang. Animals have been seen watering in there.

We had a well in Hallet/Meramac area about 15 years ago. I am thinking it was around 240-260 feed deep. A cup of bleach in it and I could smell it for 2 or 3 days. I was amazed that it stayed that concentrated in that water table. I hated taking showers and smelling the bleach odor.

Looks like was either hot rodding it and got sideways and was hit by or hit something or was pulling across a road and was hit. My better guess is they got the car sideways. Sucks to see a true classic get destroyed. It's fixable but will never be the same and it's going to take a chunk of change to make it even close to right.

Ever drive one of the early vetts? It was tough to keep in a straight line when the tires were broke loose.
I’m going with getting it sideways.
