What's the wheat testing?
Too early to tell around my area. They were making test cuts on Thursday in my neck of the woods, but haven't heard any results.
Casual observation driving by the fields doesn't look promising.
Fields that look great could be rejected by the elevator because of fungus, mold, etc.
Lots of grey dead wheat where water stood in the fields and its not typically a good producer.

I'm thinkin' it's barely been long enough between showers to dry out properly (if that) in many places, even with good drainage.

A lot of the sunny days still feel smothering with humidity around here.

That's what I thought. So are we talking 12 to 14 moisture and about 6 bu. per acre average or less? That would be my guess just looking at it. We didn't bin our until it was about 11. Our yearly average was about 18 to 20 bu. In 1975 we averaged 75 bu. That was a banner year.

My mother in law works for the Shawnee mill and they are really struggling because of the lack of wheat. Hopefully all the farmers get a huge break. I feel for em. I don’t think people give enough thought to how much farmers actually do for us. God bless them.

Everyone should be rolling along today finally, just need the rain to stay away and need gale force winds for the next two weeks.
