I hate to hear that. That pretty lake of yalls was just starting to clear up.
Just now stepped outside with my dogs near Bixby. The sky overhead was clear, and I could see the Big Dipper. But half the sky to the north was awash with constant flashes of lightning. It was a heck of a spectacle, but I hope no one suffered any damage.
I hate to tell ya this, but with basketball-sized hail, yer car ain't gonna be safe in the garage either...
It just started raining hard here. Sounds like its some of that "stingin rain" that Forest Forest Gump spoke of. I sure need this rain to stop for a while. We normally have 700 rolls of hay baled by this time of year. We got 150 baled and hauled last week. That's it. This is a year we need a good crop since the last few years have been a tick short and caused us to use our reserves. I'm sure it'll quit eventually and I'll be wishing we could just get a couple drops.

The largest officially recognized hailstone on record to have been 'captured' in the U.S. was that which fell near Vivian, South Dakota on July 23, 2010. It measured 8.0” in diameter and 18.5” in circumference and weighed in at 1.9375 pounds.
