Nocona boots were very well made. I had several pair and loved them. They were comfortable to wear from day 1.
Yeah... not sure what that logo is, but it's not the one from Nocona Boots in Nocona, Texas.I assumed that the two companies were related...never noticed the difference in spelling. Even their logos are similar.

The Nocona boot store at the OKC outlet mall carries merchandise and signage with that exact Indian head logo. Different company? They're based in Nocona, TX and both seem to have the same company history bios on their websites.
Oddly enough, Nokona is actually using Nocona boots' old factory for production.

I bought several pairs of Noconas years ago (there was a factory outlet in Gainesville, TX at the time - may still be, dunno).
The logo I posted is the only one I remember. But given my age & memory, that may not mean much...
Do not use neatsfoot oil. It will make the glove too heavy and it'll feel like you're carrying around a ten pound rock. Use the conditioner the manufacturer recommends and only in the places recommended. Tell them to keep it on the bench or gear bag with a ball in it when not in use. Not laying around in the dirt. (Old baseball coach.... t-ball through high school fall ball ). My son got his college education playing baseball and I slept in a lot of Holiday Inns across the country.

Yep, their paste seems to be helping quite nicely. Jos was catching balls off our lil pitchin machine with the new glove yesterday evening. She gave the hinge a good coating lastnight, put a ball in it and banded the glove shut. Played catch for a while this morning. I drilled a hole in a softball, put a handle in it and gave it to em as a glove breakin in mallet. She's been whooping the pocket for a couple hours now. I know neatsfoot oil adds quite a bit of weight and is kinda sticky. I think Nokonas grease/lube stuff is gonna work fine.
