Keep the plate, no problem, but are you required to use it on the next vehicle you purchase? I still don't see why you need the papers, just like insurance verification, they have it on their computer correct? This is going to be a big mess for a lot of people that forget their plate, or do not have their registration papers.

What happens with people that have entered the Country illegally and they get pulled over?

My problem with this is that I can't think of a place that I'll be able to keep my registration for my motorcycle so I can have access to it. I keep my insurance in my wallet for all my vehicles, and registration can go on the globe box for my cars, but I have no storage space on my bike. And that paper is too bulky to keep in my wallet (it's about to explode as it is, and not from money)

You might consider something like swampratt did in his boat... zip-tie a small waterproof pill bottle or something similar to the frame/dash or someplace. Just make sure you can remove the lid.

Or... if you wear a helmet, possibly put the papers inside it.

Is anyone else aware of the new law that goes into affect July 1st, that you now have to carry your vehicule registration in the vehicule at all times.
I personally dont see the point in this but i know lawmakers can come up with some of the stupidest laws for no reason.
It's already law in a lot of states and I think it's already law here but hasn't been enforced and even forgotten about for the past 60 years

Store under seat taped in a baggie. Can you take a pic and store info on phone. Not sure if this is OK...

I wouldn't trust a phone picture to stay in my phone where I put it. How many times have you gotten an "Update" then looked at your photos and found your photos are all rearranged? All of them in a location subfolder? I'm convinced the companies that build our phones do this to create more storage usage then warn us we have to buy more cloud to store it.

Yeah, under the seat won't work on my bike. It has to be removed using tools and it's a pain in the behind to get it back on.

I guess I'll just have to not get stopped. [emoji38] [emoji38]
