When my son was 3 or 4 we were at eating at a chain restaurant and he had asked for milk. It was one of those little vacuum sealed bottles he drank about half of it before he informed his mother and I it didn't taste right. I looked at the bottom of the bottle and it was expired by a couple months. Needless to say I wasn't very happy with the incompetent waitress or manager after that. Should have known when the place was empty at 6pm it was a bad omen.

I personally am not a fan of milk. I can't tell you how many years ago was the last time I drank it.

One of the biggest problems Momma takes it out of the refrigerator and pours a glass for the family and then leaves it sitting out until dinner is done. Multiple times allows the bacteria to grow and finally you go from fruity to sour fast.
Check your frefrigerator temps also. 40 and below is best.
