Converted my tool into sporting equipment after the second son was born.
Pretty easy procedure but a word of caution. When the Doc says stay off your feet and keep them elevated, follow their advice!
I was driving an 18 wheeler at the time, and jumped back into the cab after 3 days. When getting home, righty was about the size of an orange and tears down the cheek painful. Spent a week on my back after that episode.

Mine was done over 40 years ago, but the Dr. did not warn me about doing anything. I stopped by the lumber yard and loaded the back of the pickup with lumber and then unloaded it when I got home. It was not as bad for me as for some of the other stories here.

So overall it looks like most people haven't had any issues past a few days after. I would suggest a word of caution and do some research. The Dr (AKA Arrogant Prick) no pun intended that did mine. Told me 1 in 1000 have issues. Well I will be damned if I wasn't the lucky 1 in a 1000. Pain in the nut ain't no joke. If anyone asked me if I would do it again. The answer is not in a million years. Google chronic or post vasectomy pain syndrome. After the advent of the internet it appears anonymity has made people more willing to talk about the issue. I have seen numbers from 10-30 percent with issues. Dr will prescribe you some antibiotics for a month or tell you take some Advil and it should go away in 1 month to a lifetime. Thats my PSA.
