I've carried my registration for years ... had to because I drove onto a military installation at least five days a week and they required it. Mine gets folded and placed in a plastic sleeve along with insurance verification.
Is the piece of paper you get with the new tag sticker each year not your registration?
Does anyone know the penalty for not having the registration in the car?
Roll it up tight and keep it in the otherwise empty chamber under the hammer of your Colt Single Action Army revolver.
A BIGGER WALLETMy problem with this is that I can't think of a place that I'll be able to keep my registration for my motorcycle so I can have access to it. I keep my insurance in my wallet for all my vehicles, and registration can go on the globe box for my cars, but I have no storage space on my bike. And that paper is too bulky to keep in my wallet (it's about to explode as it is, and not from money)
