One thing may have happened, someone was selling the house previously and a home inspector said it needed a GFI plug so the seller put one in and sold the house.

A GFCI monitors the amount of current flowing from hot to neutral since it's AC. If there is any imbalance, it trips the circuit since it detects a fault. Wonderful devices, but they can drive you crazy wondering why they keep tripping.

Right now leaning towards the outside receptacle maybe not being water tight.

I also need to find out if there are more outside receptacles on that circuit.
Game called today on account of darkness.

Also going to suggest the freezer go on a dedicated circuit.
