Sex Trafficking of MINORS!!!! HORRIBLE!!!!!

But, where were their parents????? Did these girls introduce themselves as being of age????? Did they have FALSE IDENTIFICATIONS?????

It’s nearly impossible for me to believe that this man was aware that the girls he is accused of underage sex trafficking were actually under age!

And I believe a number of the girls are purported to have been runaways or foreigners, also.

Look, she's junior here. She is by no means the lead prosecutor on the case. She's on a team of over a dozen lawyers and she's only been at the Southern District for five years.
If you imagine that she has the power to steam roll the whole thing, then keep imaginatin'.

Strozk and Page were mere "members of the team" is what I'm saying. SDNY is a highly political office. She's there because of who she is. There's more than enough reason by .gov standards on ethics to recuse her from this case. Each and every case should be weighed on it's own merits. If that means she's recused from a hundred cases in a row, well then maybe she'd be better utilized in the LA or Chicago offices.

You know I'm right here, so you might as well sit back and enjoy it.

Underage girls cannot be complicitous in sexual activity. It really doesn't matter whether he knew they were underage. Sex trafficking adults is also illegal.

Believe it or not, there are men who are attracted to underage girls. Some of them have money and will pay others to arrange for their availability. It's not at all hard to believe that he knew they were underage, and sought them out FOR that reason. There is a whole trade around it. And unfortunately, not everyone grew up with Ozzie and Harriet.

But I agree that all the evidence has to be heard. All we have right now is the information that we have, and that's what is being discussed, and opinions are being offered on the assumption that at least some of it is true. Perhaps there should be a disclaimer, "IF the above is true, then...."

It's okay though, we are not the jury.
