Anybody use Sticky Holsters?

I've been looking at their stuff, but I'm not quite sure it's gonna be what I'm looking for. :scratch:

I need a mag pouch, preferably a double for a pair of Glock 43 magazines. Sticky makes one called the Mini Mag pouch. I'm just curious if it leaves anough mag out the top to get a proper hold and index on.

The also make an item called the Belt Slider. I wonder if it works like they say.

I would never use a sticky holster, or similar made holsters for that matter. I had not seen the mag pouches so I just now looked them up. I’ll have to pass. I want my holsters and pouches to fit my equipment. The more universal it gets the more I’m not going to like it. I want that mag pouch to stay in place and hold the mag where it sticks high enough to grab it and insert it into the empty magwell with absolutely no manipulation in between. From looking at a couple of videos on their pouches and I don’t think it would work for me. See ASPs video on Sticky Holsters for more info on my opposition to the holsters.

I use a few different ones. CompTac “pouch belt clip” both single and twin. And JM custom kydex, their AIWB single pistol Pouch and the high ride version of the same.

Normally I don’t like double pouches for concealed carry. I only use them for self defense oriented classes. For actual street use, I only carry single pouch styles, even if I decide to carry two. The CompTac double version I linked takes up way less belt real estate than any others I have tried while maintaining just enough space to get a good purchase on the magazine.

With tighter outer garments, I use the JMs. I usually will wear them in 9:30-11:00 position. And I usually place them between my belt and pants, not inside my pants due to my build.

I’ve completed many timed drills with the above hardware and carried them quite a bit. They work, I’ve tried so much more that didn’t and constantly see things in classes that confirm my opinions on what to avoid.

All that said, your chances of getting into a gunfight are very small. And IF you get into a gunfight statistics (Civilian self defense) show there is less than 1% chance a reload would help the situation. I now often forgo the spare mag if carrying a high capacity gun. But I almost always have a BUG on my person anyhow. (Previously a G42, but I transitioned to a P365 over a year ago)

I'll frequently use a Sticky Holster for an Airweight or Airlite J-Frame, worn AIWB. Although I used to carry a G43 in one sometimes, and liked it, after awhile, it became obvious it wasn't holding the gun as well as I wanted it to. I don't and wouldn't use one for any of my semi-autos now, I don't feel it's secure enough IMO for anything larger or heavier than an Airweight. (My lightest semi now is a G43X; something really small like an Elsie Pea might work but I dunno for sure since I don't have one). I realize the Sticky Holster's limitations and only use it when nothing else will do. Example: I'll tuck my J-Frame in one and wear it inside the stretch waistband on my gym pants, like on the way to the gym or something. Wife frequently has me stop at the store for something on the way home and I find it a fairly good way to make sure I at least have a weapon on me.

But hey, everybody is different and you may or may not like this means of carrying a firearm. It's marginal, I admit, but it's also easy and I would rather have that with a gun in it than nothing.

That would probably ring true if I were wearing two single mags (Glock 43 mags, BTW) on the belt/hip. Buy this pouch is going in my left, back pocket. So, as crazy as it sounds, a double mag pouch would occupy less space than two singles in said pocket.

You are planning on getting a proper hold and index out of your back pocket?
