My wife has appointments at Houston Methodist Hospital regularly, and we drive down from Owasso. Every time we go past the Choctaw Casino and Resort in Camera, I notice the Hi Limit Pawn Shop and think, 'I probably need to stop in there.' Stopped last Saturday and saw a like new Ruger EC9s for $189.50, no box, etc. Talked myself out of it and went on my way.

Stopped today on the way home, and it was still there. As I was examining it, the young clerk said, "How does $175 and tax sound?"

I walked out for less than $200, and they gave me a 50 round box of Blazer Brass 115 grain ball to boot. The young fellow said people come in and buy guns with their tax refund checks then come back later to pawn their unfired guns so they can go to the casino.

I have to stop more often!

I'll be curious to read your impressions after you fire it a few times.

Basically, if I have read the specs correctly, it's an new version LC9 except with fixed sights.

I have the original LC9 before the trigger modifications,,,
It has replaced every other gun I carried.

I have a teenage friend who has taken up shooting,,,
I was looking at the EC9s as a gift for her.

Le me know how well you like or dislike yours please.

P.S. Nice score by the way,,,

It essentially is an LC9, just has an cheaper alloy slide and fixed sights. The trigger is a bit meh as well. Quite a bit of pickup before you hit the wall, breaks clean with very little overtravel, but has a long reset. This is definitely not a comp pistol, but in a self defense situation it would get the job done. The only real complaint I've had on mine is when you insert the mag it will at times get hung up on the mag release. You have to do a slight twist away from the catch. Even slamming the mag in doesn't get past it. But for a low cost pocket gun it shoots straight and cycles fine. The only ammo I've had that didn't work with it was some Wolf lacquered steel cased ammo. It did not like that stuff at all, would stove pipe 1 out of 3 rounds.

Integrated sights really... these are not just fixed, they are cast into the slide so cannot be replaced. And a cheaper black oxide finish.
