OK Melon experts. Tell me how to pick a sweet ripe juicy melon. Please.
I've tried the thump test, but that doesn't work it seems.
I've tried buying the ones with the biggest yellow spot and again, not a good indicator
I've tried buying the ones with the spiderwebbing on the rind, again...

I look for yellow on bottom with the pollen spots.

Right on.....we don’t throw any meat, bones, vegetable or fruit material in the trash. All of it goes to the garden and the Dog.....stale bread and pastries go to the birds.

Dried up stem. The rounder the better, with a yellow/ gold belly. It's not about the size of the yellow spot, but how dark it is.

There are quite a few available. See the picture I posted in post 15 above.

Actually yesterday there was 3X as many available.

Just no Black Diamonds that I’ve seen yet.
