I do not remember the 3 day wait but it was 66-67 when I was buying guns in California and my memory sucks. I do remember buying a Browning A5 at Sears $219.00 walked out the door with it. Bought a Browning High Power and couple colt SAA revolvers but can't remember if I had to go back to pick them up or not.

Times sure have changed, buddy of mine and I were headed to a national forest to do a little crow hunting and plinking at 4 AM in North Hollywood. Got pulled over just to get checked out I guess. We had the back seat of a 55 Chevy full of guns of all kinds. All cop did was ask us where we were going, must have been satisfied with the answer. Just said have a nice day and that was it. Can't imagine what would happen in the same situation today.

Isn't preemption still in effect in California? When San Francisco outlawed handguns several years back, the ordinance was overturned on this basis.

This ordinance is racist, it deprive the low income population (mostly black and Hispanic) with the right to exercise their 2nd amendment right. How can low income people afford the purchase of DOJ approved box. They come up with this type of ordinance to suppress the low income (mostly minority) from protecting their self. They are the one living on high crime areas.

Kind like the voter ID that suppress the minority from voting.
