My daughter and son-in-law live down in Mustang. They are on a septic system. I need someone reputable to go down there and take a look and find out what they need done to it. Basically, they can’t even flush the toilet when we get very much rain and doing laundry is out of the question. Anybody know a good septic tank outfit in the Mustang ,Oklahoma area?

No knowledge of people in that area, sorry
I do know this is a common, serious problem. Septic systems need to be pumped out regularly but are often forgotten about. By the time a problem becomes obvious it usually involves a clogged leach line system and it cannot be fixed: a new leach line system must be installed. $$$

I used red dirt septic a few years ago at my old place, and last year at my mom's. Guys were awesome to deal with and reasonable!

If your tank needs pumped, the system is probably beyond the point of being fixed.
The leach field must be replaced.
We had to replace ours. The installer that is well respected and highly recommended told us that our new system would outlive us if we had the tank pumped out every six years. Once it starts backing up, it’s finished.

If you are running you clothes washer into the septic need to highly consider trying to run it out on the ground if your area allows it. My mother in law of course is in the sticks and has her washer and kitchen sink run out to pasture just the bathroom goes into the septic, and when we get alot of rain hers backs up some her toilet will gurgle in the tub and shower till it dries out some, I think hers needs pump its never been done far as I know and its been in use for over 10 years.

Most companies also will tell you must locate tank lid and dig it out to uncover it they won't do it. This time of year its easy to spot grass on top of tank will be dead or brown rest of yard still green.

My folks had to replace the septic tank at the farm they bought (apparently, some previous owner(s) had thought it was OK to flush kitty litter:anyone:). The old tank sticks out like a sore thumb in the summer, but my dad had to mark the new one to keep people from driving onto it. I can only tell you where mine is because the cleanout is between it and the house; the vegetation never turns any browner than the stuff around it (it's mostly a heat-resistant rye/fescue hybrid).

Pump the solids and jetrod the lateral lines for roots
Awful lot of people never put the enzymes in regularly.

I’ll put in a good word for Red Dirt.
Had them do my parents place a few years back.
Good people. I’d call them again if I had to.
