Yeah that thing looks like way to much work. I don't want to pull out my walk behind edger. I sure ain't going back in time to a manual device.

I should have started a poll. So far the line I wasn't happy with has had 3 votes. A vote for some mid evil edging device, a vote for Tim the Toolmaning an electric trimmer with a saw blade and one vote for Echo line. Yup about what I expected. Still waiting for the "roundup your yard." comment to come in.

Any of the pros that have been working all day trimming weeds. Please enlighten me on what you use for the job.

Get a Kwik Loader Tri-Pro and .130 line. It’s a push in/ pull through head. Cut a handful of 6-7 inch pieces and take off.

If you ask for opinions, you get opinions millions of them.
Its all in good fun man. You have dig out the good info on forums sometimes. If I was that concerned I would go to Lawnsite and ask.

My wife had a Nissan Altima when we got married. I went onto the Altima forum back in early 2000s looking to figure out a problem. It was all these young guys that didn't realize that isn't a Nismo hot rod its a 4 door car for moms to go back and forth to Wal-mart and get groceries. Some of the stuff on there was mind blowing.

My Stihl straight shaft trimmer has been the best yard implement I've ever purchased. I'll never skimp again.

Diddo for me too 2 years old now, and I'm running a purple hex or star line that I've had for likely 10 years, and should last my lifetime, it's a sizable spool.. Couldn't tell ya the brand as the label is long gone..

My brother uses some line with a wire in it. I think he got it at the oem store by Tulsa Firearms on Garnett.
He said it really lasts but its kind of expensive.
I just use the cheapest .095 line I can find at lowes or home depot.
