I am only rarely a customer at WMT and when I am, there is usually at least one, if not two, local constabulary vehicles parked in front as they are processing the latest "Light-fingered Louie" that's been caught on camera lifting the goods. The good voters of the city decided to cut the overhead and had the new police/fire building built across the street from WMT. Local wags are anticipating the construction of a pedestrian overpass to connect WMT and the PD in the near future...:Heya:

In a neighborhood like the one on Admiral in Tulsa, they had THOUSANDS of dollars in shoplifting going on weekly if not daily, and yet still opted to close the store rather than post armed security. That tells me it is more a lawsuit-avoidance scenario than even a loss prevention vs salary decision.
I just came back to town and went to the one on Admiral to do some shopping and it was closed at 10PM, googled the others, only the one at 71st and Lewis was still 24hr besides the one in BA, the rest closed at 12a
. That tells me a lot about things going down here at night now.

I wouldn't want to be in the one at 71st an Lewis after dark.
Been several years since I was in the 71st and lewis store.
Went in one night about 8 and it looked like only zombies in there. Got out as fast as possible.
The walmart grocery at 21st and yale is installing one way swinging gates at entrance which is a joke.
The thieves will vault over and the off duty cop will get stuck.
Maybe they pay pretty good cause the off duty cop drives a Rogers county suv.

That's one janky dang WalMart. I went there a couple of times after I first moved to Tulsa, but I figured any place where I felt I needed to go heeled was a place I didn't need to go in the first place. I'd rather drive to the one at Kenosha and Aspen or to Glenpool than go back to that one.
