For best adhesion you want a rougher surface than what glass beads give you. Don’t worry about alox grit size as much as the psi you use. I always used the red cans of brakecleen to clean off the surface prior to spraying

Thanks for the information. I was a little confused about the best grit for the job, I was told to stay away from glass beads.

I know I’m a little late but I just saw this you need to use 100 red garnet sand if I can help you in any way just let me know and I will try I have a bunch of how to videos on my YouTube channel showing how to do the whole process
