Way cool. I’ve never been to Sparta but I hear it is the Trap Mecca. I’ve shot trap maybe twice but instead focused on Skeet; I like the crossing shots and 4 foot leads in some cases.

Good job introducing the younger generation to the shooting sports - that’s our future. Kids definitely have reflex and vision advantages. I have routinely been sent packing when in a shoot-off against a kid.

It's an awesome place. 4.5 miles of trap houses, 1.5miles of skeet houses I believe. 2 15 station sporting clay courses, cowboy action facility and 5 stand. Can't remember how many RV sites, shops and gun vendors and gun smiths. It's all reclaimed strip mining land.....and all in the same state as Chicago lol.

It is ironical that the place is located in Illinois. I had to look it up - 120 trap fields with the longest trap line in the world and 24 Skeet fields. That's impressive. The atmosphere must be a lot like the National Skeet Shooting Association / National Sporting Clays Association shooting complex in San Antonio - 50 Skeet Fields and a couple of Sporting Clays Courses. Anything Shotgun related can be purchased on vendor row which also includes shotguns that are truly works of art - try holding a $150,000 Krieghoff reciever.

Yeah Kreighoff, Blaser, Kolar Ceasar Guerini, Perazzi, plus all the other usual brands...........all there to fondle lol. Fortunately she doesn't want one yet, her reply was "If I break 99 out of 100 and I miss that one because I stopped my gun, well can do that with a $25k gun or a $1500 gun." Thank you sweetheart lol.
