Sat in ambush for a big boar tonight. Didn't get the one I was after. This one went about 280 liveweight. His girth behind front legs is 48". The other little turds hung around too long.

I sent a few to bed as well. I also put one in the drink -- I shot a big black boar Saturday morning in a creek and watched him sink like a rock. He stopped bubbling after a few minutes, so I suppose the snapping turtles are feeding on him now.
Made death of 5 more early this morning.
People that cut the ears off and let them go should have their ******* glued shut.
They were pretty clean, we haven't had rain to make wallows in awhile.
Count is at 51 for the year. That is down from last year.
I'm gonna guess the guys didn't get to the catch dogs in time. I know that's possible. I've never heard of anyone cutting ears off and turning em loose but I don't know everything either.
