Thanks gang, ran into a road block. Would have to finance the truck till I get two vehicles and a tractor sold and had forgot I had a credit freeze put on a couple years ago. Getting the freeze lifted with Equifax is going to be an ordeal they didn't send me a pin and have to jump through a million hoops to get it lifted. Credit union said I was pre approved for 30 to 40,000 if I wanted it but need to get that freeze off my credit.

I'm one that thinks real trucks have an 8 foot bed and single seat cab that doesn't take an acre to turn around. Oh well I'll find another one after I get this Equifax mess straightened out.

Ya I know, everybody wants a truck that isn't a truck. With the seats down I can get a 4x8 sheet of plywood in my 2013 Dodge Caravan. With the seats up it will haul 7 people and do it at more than 20MPG around town. No only that it cost 1/2 of what a comparably equipped king cab truck would cost.

I've got a 2009 and as far as quality goes oh well.
Just remember 2009 was bankruptcy and cash for clunkers time.
Shove it out the door we may not be here next week.

Jumped through the hoops and got the credit freeze lifted. Now having 2nd thoughts about that truck. It's a rare find with factory remote start and other goodies not usually found on a work truck but it has almost as much rust damage as my 2000 on the fender wells and rocker panels. Mr Ed reminding me of 09 kinda cinched it. Will keep looking, hoping to find something around $15K under 100,000 miles.

Ford, Chevy or Dodge wouldn't really matter if it's the right truck I'm just more familiar with what to look for in a Chevy.
Don't care what year or what color, Regular cab, long bed 4X4, ~100,000 miles more or less, Power windows, door locks, additional creature comforts a plus. If Chevy 5.3 V8, if Dodge probably the Hemi, Ford have no idea, whatever V8 will go 300,000. Don't want to spend more than $15 - $16,000.00.

I really like my 2000 Chevy except for the rust and manual windows/locks. It's in great mechanical condition, transmission rebuilt, water pump, brakes, tires all writhen the last couple thousand miles. If it had a few creature comforts I would keep it.

I have converted more than a few vehicles to power windows/locks from manual. It's not necessarily as difficult as it sounds.
On many units, the base wiring already exists in the doors and body, it just a matter of installing the power bits.
I would suggest a pull it yourself yard. That way one can gather all the parts together. The interior panel (door trim card) is probably the hardest thing to find/match.

I was thinking I would have to replace the doors and deal with missing wiring harness. It also really needs a bed in better condition. Been looking for a bed for quite some time without much luck. Not wanting to deal with paint I was hoping for one already the right color which greatly narrows the possibilities.

Want to downsize from 3 to 2 vehicles, if I can find a truck I wouldn't mind driving most of the time I would give the wife my 2013 Caravan sell her 05 caravan and we would be set. I got spoiled by the creature comforts on my Caravan and wouldn't be happy driving a truck without at least power windows and door locks.
