Yep. Sold the 1/9 and got a 1/7 and a 1/8. 1/8 arrived in the mail today.
The 1/7 likes the 62 gn's. Been using H335 (i'lll have to look up the charge later) with good success. Shooting steel out to 400 with the same red dot as above. 500 is still a little iff'y but i think that just me. Im not really doing much with case prep right now.

I thought for years what is the fun in shooting at a steel plate.
Then i rang one at 500 yards my first steel to shoot at.
I thought I missed as I fired the round off (.308) and recoil pushed me back and then i leaned back into it to get scope back on target.
I seen dust kick up and said.... I missed I seen dirt.
Then I heard DING!
My buddy that owned the area said nope you hit it and what you seen was the bullet turning into dust.
AWESOME!

Then i rang one at 500 yards my first steel to shoot at.
I thought I missed as I fired the round off (.308) and recoil pushed me back and then i leaned back into it to get scope back on target.

Yes sir! I love seeing the dirt blow under the steel before hearing the gong. I need to refocus and do a bit of precision load development in the near future. I've been using a progressive press so i am loading more rounds each session. Unfortunately that means I spend as little time as possible on brass prep.
I hate doing brass prep.
I sort of timed myself the other day on some already pin cleaned .308 cases that did not need any primer pocket work done (Lapua cases).
It took me 4 minutes per case to get them ready to stick a primer into them with all the measuring etc.
I can't do too many at a time because my hands go numb due to discs in my neck.
Just looking down and typing I have to stop and look up and let my hands wake back up.
You get to where you care more where your brass lands than where the shot landed sometimes.
That is why I really like my bolt guns. An AR makes me watch the brass I want it back.
And if the AR pummels it that would be a deal breaker.
Luckily my AR in 5.56 does not hurt my cases and piles them up to the right of me and a little behind me.
I need to work on my brass catcher that attaches to the gun get it working right.
