The rear sticking up is all about gas mileage. They put the rake in it to make it more aero dynamic. You can get leveling kits pretty cheap but it will raise the front to match the rear.
I know and so is that plastic dam on the bottom of the front bumper, I plan to remove mine as it hangs too low. My lowering kit leveled it out.

It also has to do with how much the truck squats while loaded; if they run tail-high while empty, they stand a better chance of not blinding oncoming traffic when running with a load (either in the bed or on a trailer) after dark.
I don't really need a truck anymore just love having one. I don't move people, have a trailer or haul heavy loads as I'm old and wouldn't want to load or unload it. I just like having the option to carry a light load in the back. Once you've owned a truck for 50+ years it just doesn't feel right not having one.

Fixed it for ya'.
Actually the first pickup I got stuck in a flat field on wet leaves was a 70 Ford. Pulled in to turn around, didn't sink in more than 1/2 inch but the back end wouldn't pull the front out of a tinny depression. I know it would have helped if I had some weight in the back. If it had been a 4x4 or FWD it would have walked right out.
