Anyone think we need another AR build class? Tulsa, possibly OKC?

AR parts are plentiful and cheap for now. It's been I think a year and half since we did this? Maybe 2 1/2? I dunno...

So, if only a couple guys want to bring parts and have someone help guide them through putting them together, we can do that at my place in Bartlesville, or if there are a larger number who want to do things to their rifles, we can probably arrange somewhere in Tulsa, or I might even drive to OKC if there is enough interest.

I've got tons of spare small parts in a box that were all mostly all donated from Fat Boy Tactical.

If there's not a lot of interest, that's cool, no biggie. I just put a rifle together today for a friend to give to his dad out of mostly spare parts I had laying around and it put me in mind of the class/get together we did a couple of times. I hadn't built one in a while, probably a year or so. But it's fun tinkering.

Post here in this thread if you're interested and what you'd like to have done to your rifle, or if it's a ground-up build.

Hey, I'd be up for that! I don't have a build in the works, or planned! I've got a couple that I'd be glad to bring along for people to tinker with, or maybe there are some 'upgrades' somebody could educate me on. I do need to figure out how to attach a sling on my .300Blk! I wanted to make those earlier ones, but just couldn't make it happen!

I'm up for another one if I can make it. Life has been so busy over the past year I've barely fired a round. I have tools and the parts for two pistol builds just sitting on the shelf.

I dont need anything built, but if yall do a class in Tulsa, I'll offer up my "mobile vise" and armorers block for use if you need an additional work station.
I think its a cool idea.

It was January of 2016, IIRC. I had my denial appeal granted a year before and had bought a lower for my first official purchase. I went to the build party with my son to get some help with the assembly of the lower. My son won a CMMG lower parts kit but since he wasn't interested in building his own AR he gave it to me.

I now have another Anderson lower to house said parts kit and would love to get it ready for a .300 BLK pistol upper. I could drive up to Bartlesville any weekend or would love to attend another AR build party.

Sounds like fun! I "might" have a new build started (or parts purchased) that I could bring or my first build to work on a few roll pins that didn't want to fully seat (bolt release and gas tube). If anything I have a few "what not to do" experiences I could share. And it would be a cool way to meet more of ya (so far I've met 3 lol).
