Oh no, that means you spent your rifle money on the guitar. Priorities priorities!
It's okay. There have been times I've spent my guitar money on a gun. I have low sales resistance to both.

The truth is, SWMBO has enough money for both, it's just a matter of convincing her I need to buy one. I have a couple of different methods. Neither one works very well. LOL!

I feel the 40 S&W was the answer to a question no one asked. It does nothing better than the 9mm or 45acp as far as defense, and I would much rather have a 357 mag on my hip in the woods. In fact when out in the woods I usually do have a 357. Now if I walked in bear country I would have a 44 mag at least.

i think the feds asked the question after they hauled off the body bags in Miami

This. I seem to remember the 9mm didn’t perform as needed. The 10mm was then developed but was difficult for some to handle. That led to the .40 cal as a compromise. I could be totally wrong due to faulty memory.

Never owned a 40 s&w...... never felt that I needed one. I have been tempted a time or two due to falling prices as a result of all of the LEO trade-ins. But I would quickly talk myself out of the notion. I own .25 auto, .380, 9mm, 38 sp., 357 mag, 45 auto, 10mm. I just never felt like I wanted or needed one. I have nothing against the 40 and may fall into a deal that I can’t refuse. Quick! Somebody tell me that I need one!! Seriously though. What would be your votes for the best service sized 40 s&w?

M&P - I’m not sure how many I own.
