I'm just ready for football, watched the Florida and Miami game the other night. It was a very sloppy game, not good play on both sides of the ball from both teams. I hope that OU and OSU do well. Personally, I think OU will be good this year; I don't have a good feeling about OSU this year. The defense on both teams will be horrendous, OU defense should be better, than OSU, they just have better players. I think that in the Big 12 this year, Texas will be the team to watch for. The game against LSU 9/7 will be a really good indication if Texas took the proverbial step forward that they needed to. I don’t think they will win that game, LSU seems to have a really good defense, but I don’t think their offense is all that good. OU really has a gravy schedule up to 10/12 when they play Texas at Dallas. They play Houston at home, maybe a tough game, but should just be able to outplay them due to the talent of players they have compared to Houston. Then they play South Dakota at home (why?, I’ll have to miss that game), UCLA (this might be an interesting game at the Rose Bowl, but the PAC 12 is not good up and down the conference), Texas Tech at home, Kansas at Lawrence, Then the Texas game. Key games after that for OU none, most of the teams that might have a chance will be at home, like TCU.

Texas plays, LA Tech at home, then LSU at home, Rice at NRG at Houston, OSU at Austin, West Virginia at Morgantown, Then the OU game. If both make it to that game undefeated and whoever wins might be the new number 3 or 4 in the country at that point. Key games for Texas after that is like OU, most the good teams are at home, K-State and Texas Tech. They do play TCU at Fort Worth, but it doesn’t seem like TCU will be a top team in the Big 12 this year.

OSU plays Oregon State in Corvallis this coming Friday; this will be a good game for them to an idea on how they will be this year, after that McNeese at Stillwater, then Tulsa at Tulsa, Texas in Austin, K-State at Stillwater. After that key games Texas Tech at Lubbock, Iowa State at Ames, TCU at home, West Virginia at Morgantown, and then the last game at home with OU.

I think that the Big 12 champion will be a toss-up between OU and Texas for the number 1 spot, then Iowa State, and OSU battling for the 3 or 4 spots. Then TCU, Texas Tech, Baylor, West Virginia, K-State, and Kansas, the last few teams can be interchanged with each other for the worst team of the conference.

I don’t see Clemson or Alabama losing this year; it will take a lot of another team to take one of the top 2 spots from them. Alabama will have a few close games, (just how the SEC games seem to be with the exceptional defenses), but I don’t seem them losing. They have a good offense this year not as big on Tua as other; think he will be about as good as he was last year. Key games for Alabama at Texas A&M and at Auburn.

Clemson is going to be my pick to be the consecutive National Champion this year, they lost a lot of talent on the D-line, but they recruit very well. Plus I think Brent Venables is a great defensive coach, still don’t understand why OU let me slip through their fingers like that. Key games for them this year, at Syracuse (just because last year it was a close game and I think the Orange will be better this year), Texas A&M at home, Florida State at home and finally South Carolina at Colombia.

Sorry for the long post, but yes as you can tell I’m ready for some College football even Notre Dame.

I certainly am ready for some college football, but as an OSU fan I'm not really interested in the Norman Premature Ejaculators

Ahhhh yes , the okie lite crew bashing OU preseason!! This never gets old, 88-18-7!! Its ok though, OSU has a 25%chance to beat OU this season so maybe this is their year.
