Some people will do whatever the TV tells them to, take whatever drug if they need it or not, vote for whomever they are told to, etc, etc, etc.

^^^could very well be right. I sure don't have the answer. I do know that I have to carry a card with the few scripts I take because I never remember what the name is.

Advertising is a tax write off to a certain point and most companies will run ads til they get to that point and stop til the next year.

On the real, since all of y'all are getting up there in age... When you finally get your single payer Medicare, get and pay the Part D even if you don't have very many prescriptions. You can add it back in later, but you have to pay to catch up to that point plus a penalty. My gramps didn't want it because he didn't take pills at 65. When we finally convinced him he needed it at 86, it cost him two months SS pay up front, but it knocked his RX's from $900/mo to just over $120.

Unfortunately that’s true. If you don’t sign up when your eligible, the gubberment penalizes you.
