She made a mistake, and would likely have referred to a white coworker the same in the same situation.

Part of the problem is this white groveling every time someone is "offended". The more the white folks grovel and beg for forgiveness, the worse this is going to get. A simple "that's not what I meant, and you know it, but I'm sorry if I offended my coworker with what I said" would be fine. She's going to get crucified anyway - why add to the misery with self-flagellation and self-imposed public humiliation? I've had people at work give me the "that's racist" garbage to something I've said (usually some white eunuch), to which they get the "so what?" (or the "DILLIGAF?") reply. Deer in the headlights, then they trail off to something else. Quit being a sniveling punching bag, and a lot of this faux outrage will peter out. As long as it keeps getting the desired response, this stuff will keep getting blown out of proportion.

We are all too caught up in the race thing and live in a world too concerned with being PC. He does resemble the gorilla. My ears look like those of a monkey. She meant nothing by it and think of all the air time being spent on this that could be spent on something useful.

This isn't a discussion about abortion. It's about bigotry, and the white derived racist stereotype that black people are monkeys.

I see it as what it is. A white person telling a black person they look like the gorilla on camera on live tv.

Don't get me wrong. My very diverse group of bros have very deep relationships. Military will grow bonds like that. We toss racist stuff at each other all the time just to bust balls. But it's strictly an us thing. That doesn't mean it's kosher to do it in public.

That also doesn't mean I think this lady is racist. I think she's more or less just a crappy work friend. She honestly probably didn't mean anything bigoted by it. It was just an unfortunate faux pas. I was just stating the obvious that it's not cool for a white person to compare a black to an ape in public, or in this case, on live TV.

To hell with your bigotry or racism. I don’t care.

I do care about whites being made to genuflect to peoples who wouldn’t do the same for them.
I do care about my people being genocided in our ancestral homelands, and turned into second class citizens in the country that their ancestors conquered, settled, and developed.

So try again-why are you OK with restricting white peoples rights?
White guilt much? Or are you a racist minority?

Anyone.......not trying to fan the fire but without using the Websters dictionary definition and in your own words what is the difference between being prejudice, a racist and being a white supremacist ?

It wouldn't be the first (nor will it be the last) time I've been wrong in my life and I stand to be corrected but it would seem to me that all three are somewhat closely related.

Well, these days a "white supremacist" is any white person that shows any kind of positive view towards white European culture, shows any concern for ethnic non-whites, shows any hint solidarity with Caucasians, or even resists the new religion of anti-white bigotry. If you are white, you are to self-hate, and advocate for the betterment of all others, else you're a "white supremacist/Nazi/Fascist" etc.

Eff 'em. I'll wear the t-shirt.

So she made an innocent remark, a gentle rub if you will.
The person it was aimed at initially took it as the light jab it was and even went so far as to play along and agree.
THEN!!!!
The SJWs out there take it and spin it sideways and now the co-anchor suddenly acts offended and says it was wrong and the anchor is forced to apologize for doing nothing wrong. She's the one that needs to be offended.

The issue here is not the Anchor or even the comment. The issue is that society has gotten so out of control with this social justice crap that even asking for the salt and pepper is now racist.

The only thing I can't tolerate is intolerance. And society has somehow decided that not only doesn't anyone have to tolerate anything, but if they do, then they are being somehow damaged by doing so.

I'll play.

I'd expect a white supremacist to be the same as racist. Not to say only whites are capable of racism. I'm sure there are other nationalities of supremacists too. I'd expect pure hatred to be at that core. Driven mostly by emotions and a lack of maturity and intelligence. Anybody can be racist.

Prejudice, I think, is less to do with race, and more to do with stereotypes. The farmer that pays the white teenager more than the hispanic farm hand for the same days work. Tightening your grip on a purse when you walk past a black guy in the store. Assuming your white neighbor is racist because he has tiki tirches around the patio. But prejudice isn't exclusively race based. It can be labeling all christians as haters because the one church the media shows is full of hatred. Or assuming all preachers are pedofiles because the catholic church priests diddle tena of thousand kids. Lumping all democrats into one single group of liberal hypocrisy because Fox News told you to. Labeling all republicans as racists because CNN told you to. It's not hatred and probably derived more from a lack of diversity in a persons life.

Prejudice is as much a lack of maturity and intelligence as racism. It just lacks the hate.

The guy does resemble the gorilla that's a fact not a racist remark. When I worked for the state my black supervisor called me the bumble ( Rudolph the red nose raindeer reference) did that make him racist should he have been fired for pointing out I resemble something that I in fact resemble?
