Kinda reminds me of a buddy of mine. He owns a bunch of ATM’s and carry’s large amounts of cash. He refuses to get his CC. He thinks those that carry are afraid of something or just trying to be a tough guy. Now, it would be easy to argue with him about that,but I see things a little different than some in these cases. I think it’s good character indicator. He assumes that when he leaves the house, he’s entering into a world of good,solid people like himself.
I hope this analogy isn’t to far off base.
used to sell scrap gold to a dealer that came by every 6 weeks or so, he paid 98% of spot, based in houston, always had large bundles of franklins in his satchel and all the gold he'd bought that trip. i was sitting at a desk with a 38 super about a foot from my hand and asked him if he was armed. he told me no and he wasn't worried about it. he got robbed around ft worth as i recall, shot up pretty bad, dang near killed him...might not have happened if he was packing.
