Walked past a bunch of them at Sparta, IL during the Grand American trap shoot last month. Perazzi, Kreighoff, Blaser, Caesar Guerini, Kolar and Ljutig all have stores there along the trap line. There's 12yo kids out there shooting $30k shotguns...............most just shoot $10k-$20K shotguns lol. It's an eye opener for sure. I'll just keep shooting my $1200 Browning and my kids will keep shooting their $1800 SKBs lol.

What model was the Perazzi at the pawn shop?

Back in the Early 80's had to go to Italy for some technical training on equipment the company bought. I was ate up with trap shooting then and the thought that I might get one on the cheap because we were going to be in the city where they were manufactured turned into a bust. The taxes to own/buy in Italy almost doubled the price of what I could buy it for in the US.
The trap special 1100 did just fine.

The real joy I get at the skeet field is occasionally outshooting a guy with a Kreighoff or a Blazer. Shake hands and walk away with a little smirk on my face.
I shoot the same Benelli M2 I hunt birds with. I added the high comb from the factory and the briley vortex skeet choke.

My daughter knows that feeling well, we've even seen grown adults throw things after losing a shoot off....or not shake her hand afterwards lol.

Many years ago I got invited to go on a European pheasant hunt at a hunting ranch near Chandler by a vendor that supplied products I used daily in my corporate job.

All I needed to bring was a shotgun and I didn't have anything but my bolt action 20 gauge at the time, so I borrowed a camo Mossberg 500 from a buddy for the day.

We show up and out of the ten shooters we are the only ones that aren't local celebrities or former champion skeet and trap shooters all outfitted with their high dollar guns and such.

During the hunt and then shooting skeet and sporting clays afterwards I was hanging with the best of them and outshooting several of those with very expensive shotguns.

I got several compliments and none of them were snobs at all. It was a very fun day that I will always remember.
