I wonder how that would look if i was on a well and septic with propane.
I too only pay water, trash gas and electric ...phone internet tax and insurance. My house is paid for as is my truck.
If you had propane and well, the increased cost of propane would eat all your savings for the water. I was on poropane for 17 year and it can and does get stupid high especially if you run out in Jan. I heated primarily with a pellet stove and saved a ton of money over heating with propane and I got an on demand water heater. I could then fo a year on 250 gal. of propane and it was $300 to fill it in Aug.

We had a wired AT&T bundle for phone, internet and Direct TV. It was OK except for the dish losing signal during storms. AT&T installed a fiber optic cable and now we have the bundle with U-Verse for TV, like Direct TV except no antenna. Total cost with HBO is $200/mo. Had it a year with no issues, really like it.

I had Cox for several years.I didn't like that they went up every year but after having Sparklight or Cable one I wish I had the opportunity to have cox communications again.I paid 40 dollars a month for internet that was 3 times faster than the best that sparklight offers.I also liked on demand.I had internet, hbo and 150 channels that I never paid more than $140.00 a month for.Like someone else said go to their office and you will get a better discount than they will give you on the phone.

Wow think of all the money I saved over the last 15 years. Cell phone, outside antenna and internet through a wireless carrier, NetFlix and Amazon prime. Totals about $100.00 a month. Bought a Magnavox DVR to record stuff off the air we want to watch later. It is nice being able to fast forward through the commercials.

Cox and AT&T both try to trick you buy getting you to sign a 2 year contract where it is "cheaper" but then goes up after the 2 years. I just have Cox internet until 5G gets here. Stream with firesticks and have Direct tv now which is only $50 per month for my Espn, Hbo, etc with no contracts.

Man like many, I cut the cable on Cox years ago due to them becoming so outrageous. I still have Cox for Internet. But an antenna, a Roku , with Sling TV, Netflix, and Amazon Prime is just fine for our television entertainment needs. And a heck of a lot cheaper. Why do you have to have Cox? Until they get real and start to offer a more streamlined approach to their menu so people can pick and choose better and more economically, I think they will continue to see people cut their cable off in favor of the alternatives.

WiFi only via cox. Normal package and we bought a $$$ router on our own. It streams two or 3 TVs and 5 teenagers worth of stuff, no problemo.

If a person smokes, dips or drinks they will spend a lot more than what cable or internet costs per month. For an example, if cable and internet is $180.00 per month that is $6.00 per day. That is less than the 10 minutes it takes me to shoot 3 mags of ammo at the range.I can watch tv or use the internet for 10 or 12 hours if I want or for the same price go to the range for 3 mags worth of shooting.

We were close to $300 with Cox, creep, creep, creep it goes up. Sometimes when I would finally call they would take care of it and set the rate for a period of time. The last time the guy pretty much told me too bad so sad, find something to give up, or this is your price. And of course the thing I will give up(home phone) actually makes the price go up. So as I am listening to this DB I am on the ATT site configuring Gig fiber and Uverse. Turns out I save over $2400 for 2 years, I ask the guy if he is sure he can't do anything, and he says yes, that was Thursday, ATT installed Monday, 20 year Cox Customer gone, just like that, and I will do what I can to stay away at this point.

Internet speed is smoking fast, TV experience is OK, some new channels I didn't get with Cox, but the Cox system seems to be less "clunky".

Everytime I want to complain though, I think about the $2400 I am saving, and I am just fine with it.

It's weird that the best prices go to new customers only, so they lose a long time customer to someone offering a discount rate for a couple of years. They all do that though, we saved quite a bit switching from AT&T to Cox. Not likely we'll ever go back though, our internet speed is 50 times faster than the highest speed we could get with AT&T.
