Flat is more comfortable and commonly used.
The only thing that matters is, they both use the same clips.

Uh, no. You read a magazine. A clip holds the bullets for your problem solver.
Then we can't call it a M1911 either since it has A1 fingergroove cuts and and modern features like a beaver tail grip safety, front slide serrations, and skeletonized hammer and trigger.
I'm not sure why any manufacturer would even bother using the A1 designation unless they were attempting to offer something approximate to a GI reproduction pistol.
