I just got a bersa thunder .380 looking at for ammo from what I can find the cheapest local is academy 50 round box for 13 bucks, I am going to check gag walmart to see what they have if any left for prices. Where else can I look locally for some cheap ammo to practice to get use it this is my first pistol and want cheap ammo to practice getting on target and where the sights are going to hit. I did look on wiki arms there is some brand never heard of tulammo a 50 round box for 9 bucks but its steel cases, I don't like that.

Also where can look for reloading supplies for 380 to load my own or reload my spent cases. Looking on academy most there stuff is for rifle I don't see much for pistol other than 9mm of course nothing for 380's. I want to see the difference if buying ready to fire vs loading my own for cost.

If you wanted cheap ammo you have to shoot 9mm. 380 isn't near as plentiful and those prices you mentioned are about normal. I can tell you reloading ain't cheap and you would have to make thousands of 380 rounds to recoup your costs of getting into reloading. @chazroh rolled a bunch and can tell you costs of just supplies but its going to cost hundreds to get setup to reload. Your not going to want to be doing one bullet at a time on a single stage. If you don't shoot but 50 a month it will take years to make it worth wild. Also 380 is a little round which may also be a determining factor in reloading. << lots of guys don't like reloading a tiny bullet.

Ok being my first handgun I think this 380 will do good and maybe one of these days find a good deal on a 9mm. This one will get me into hand gun world at least for now untill I step up or maybe just keep this one.

I bought some lead bullets to load, precision bullets, they were $66 a thousand I believe. Range brass is anywhere from $34-55 a thousand. If you want brass, I found a guy in Tulsa that has it, $34 a thousand, probably has 6-8k More, pm me if you want his number

To me 380 isnt any harder to reload for than 9mm if you want something that is sort of hard try the 25acp that little thing will get your fingers mashed if your not paying attention. and i load everything on a single stage press.

You can pick up some berry's or xtreme plated fairly cheap. 90gr hornady xtp work really well in 380. I cast and powdercoat my own bullets but 380 molds are short on selection.
