The only regulation I have seen proposed is to ban non-tobacco products. Those that are flavored and aimed at kids. This will bring it in line with the ban on flavored cigarettes that has been in effect for 10 years.

Oh and I have known people in their 80s and 90s that smoked all their adult lives without lung problems.

They should just ban all flavored things that target kids. Liquor, cigarillos, sugary cereals, candy, soda etc... the diabetes and porker kid epidemic needs to halt, and it's the government's job do make that happen. I'd bet high fructose corn syrup is the thing causing autism.

Those that are flavored and aimed at kids.

Please stop with the "flavorings are aimed at kids" crap, its as bad as the "ban AR's for the kids" schtick. All those flavored vape liquids were made by vapers for vapers. It was never aimed at kids. The majority of liquid that vape shops (who, btw, score much higher at age verification than quickie marts) sell is non-tobacco flavors, by a rather large amount. Out of all the people I know who vape (quite a lot) only 3 vape tobacco flavors, and 2 of them still vape other flavors as well. Guess what, adults like non-tobacco flavors.

Dude, you must not get out much nor spend any time around pre-teens and teens. They are vaping flavored vape juice. They talk about their favorites and where's the best place is to get this garbage. In our local high school they have to keep the main doors into the bathrooms propped open to discourage students from vaping in them. Juul just go excoriated by the FDA for purposefully targeting high school students. You can use your own Google foo to find that info. You remind me of the person who refuses to acknowledge their house is on fire even though everyone else can see the flames. If you wanna do bad **** to wreck your body that's your business. As a society I think we owe it to them to try to keep this stuff out of their reach. Sure, some will still do it but maybe prevention and education efforts will stop a few from going down the same road your on.

It's like alcohol, marijuana, or any of the other things that have been proven to be dangerous to health. There will be those studies that "prove" all is well, and other studies "proving" that if you don't stop in the next 24 hours, you will grow an additional nose.

Neither side will ever accept any information from the other side.

But I do think the ribbons around their necks look a bit too much like a baby's pacifier.

Dude, you must not have read my post, adult vapers talk about our favorites and what shops sells what liquid lines. Its like saying only pre-teens and teens like sweet stuff. If what you said was true than every single alcohol that was not a traditional alcohol flavor must target kids as well. Or how about flavored coffees? Stop the BS. Every single reputable juice line has said they do not want under age kids getting their products. I know of two stores here in Tulsa that juice lines have pulled their product because they were not doing age checks. Most of the place these kids are able to get stuff is convience stores, not vape shops. You sound like one of those anti-gunners yelling about how dangerous the AR is. You avoid the facts, pull out random tidbits of info to support your claim and your argument falls flat on its face.

I avoid one-sided facts. You can't even admit that their is a problem with underage vaping. I don't see give a rats ass what adult vapers do. That's not the argument. If you wanna kill yourself with this stuff go ahead. That's your right. But saying it's okay for children to do it cause coffee makers make flavored coffee doesn't even make sense.

The FDA has taken action against Juul. That's a fact.

  1. A JUUL representative speaking with students at his presentation stated that JUUL “was much safer than cigarettes” and that “FDA would approve it any day.”[1]
  2. The JUUL representative speaking with students at his presentation called JUUL “totally safe.”[2]
  3. The JUUL representative speaking with students at his presentation stated that a student “…should mention JUUL to his [nicotine-addicted] friend…because that’s a safer alternative than smoking cigarettes, and it would be better for the kid to use.”[3]
  4. The JUUL representative speaking with students at his presentation stated, “FDA was about to come out and say it [JUUL] was 99% safer than cigarettes…and that…would happen very soon….”[4]

Referring to your ENDS products as “99% safer” than cigarettes, “much safer” than cigarettes, “totally safe,” and “a safer alternative than smoking cigarettes” is particularly concerning because these statements were made directly to children in school. Our concern is amplified by the epidemic rate of increase in youth use of ENDS products, including JUUL’s products, and evidence that ENDS products contribute to youth use of, and addiction to, nicotine, to which youth are especially vulnerable.[5]

Mostly adults liked the flavored cigs too. Did not stop the government from banning them in 2009 and for the same reasons.

Where did I say it was ok for children? Quote me. I never did. I said stop using the children as an excuse. I used the coffee reference to show how ADULTS like flavored items. You are not reading to understand, you are reading to argue and it bloody well shows. At this point its fruitless to debate you anymore as you are just as closed minded as the libbies who want to take our firearms. Good day.
