Any particular websites that have decent budget build goods on them? I usually hit up PSA, PA, and maybe some local stuff, but no seeing what I want on those so far (or thinking I MIGHT can beat their prices anyway!). Haven't put an AR together in a few years, so got out of the loop so to speak. Already have a stripped lower, and just want to throw together a short 223, probably 16" barrel rig, on the cheap as much as possible...just wondering if its cost effective now with the $400 complete rifles around?? Thanks

These are pretty good too:

Radical firearms is alright as well.

I’d stay away from bear creek Arsenal. I just got one of the uppers and it’s cheap but rough. Haven’t shot it yet, but even if it shoots good cannot recommend due to asthetics and customer service issues.

PSA parts kits are a good deal with magpul stocks. Their stock triggers are crap like all of them. The upper I got from them has shot 1.25" 5 shot groups with hand loads. Still playing with load trying to get it to 1 moa. The lower I got from them wouldn't take a Rise trigger and I had to grind a lot to fit it in. The same trigger dropped right in multiple other brands of lowers. They take a while to ship their uppers. So don't think you will order on Monday and have it Wednesday. They seem to have them built in runs. Mine took a couple weeks to show up.

Thanks for the link to CBC, just placed an order for one of their build kits, best deal I could find for most of what I wanted specs-wise, will see how it does!

The upper wasn't finished properly?

I've bought several partial and complete uppers from them. No complaints.

I prefer Aero Precision uppers though . . . their M4E1 sets are sweet.

Probably the trigger well was just a little on this side of mil-spec, enough to cause problems with an enclosed trigger.
