Rise Armament or Larue Tactical trigger?

Does anyone have experience with both of these triggers?

I'm wanting a trigger for all around sporting use not competition. I have no idea if I would prefer two stage over single stage but I'm leaning towards the RA. I can get one for around $100 shipped. The Larue is $95 shipped.

I personally prefer a 2 Stage trigger in all of my non-competition AR15s. The Rise Armament trigger you linked is a decent single stage trigger. I’m running a RA-535 in one of my competition guns and getting ready to swap two more. I would not run it in a SD or hunting rifle as I feel it is a bit too light. The Geissele SSA I prefer is about 1# heavier.

But triggers are very personal and you will get a variety of opinions. The RA140 is at a great price point to try and you will have no issues selling it at a slight discount if you decide you don’t like it.

There are also many with a Rise Armament display where you can test it out.

I have wanted the Larue for a while but I was waiting until I got a new upper. Now I have seen the RA on sale in a couple of places and my "paralysis from analysis" is kicking in.

I’ve shot an AR with a LaRue 2 stage, but I don’t know if it was the same model you have linked. My SSAs felt better. $150-$175 better, probably not.

Yes, my concern is the same with the RA. Even after running one in one of my PCCs a few times and loving it in that application, I would not swap it in most of my others for that very reason. Now this is with the 535 and not the 140. But they all 3 feel to have the same weight of pull to me. The 535 has a much shorter stroke and reset. Likely, one of the shortest I’ve seen in a cassette style trigger.

And you really need to play with good two-stage and single stage samples to determine your preference with your intended application.

I believe I have a couple of the Rise Armament triggers that were produced for another label. I really do like them. I have 1 in a hunting AR 15 that has been used extensively year round. I don't think it is too light.

I have a couple single stage drop ins that are 3.5lbs. I definitely don’t think they are too light.
