For me it was Mr. Gaddies (chuck E. Cheese without the rat) in Sapulpa. Saw one driving through Texas 4 or 5 years ago and made me smile.

Dude, Mr Gaddies was a weekly mandatory for us in Lake Charles. Cheap enough to feed a fam of five on spare change! Now they have Gaddie-Town's all over the place. Pizza is still the same. Good stuff right there.

I will never, ever forget Eddy's. I was there on his last weekend, a Saturday night. He came by every table and said he was glad we came when we did, because he was shutting his doors on Monday. Man I still dream about the spare rib and tabouli sampler plate..

Eddy's was my dad's "feeling fancier than Cattlemen's" spot. After getting my license, it was definitely my first date spot. After he closed I switched to Royal Bavaria. Several of my friends and I started this theory, if the girl ordered the chicken at RB, they weren't going to be around long. 3 of us ended up marrying the girl we took, who on the first date, actually read the menu, realized that the chicken was stupid, and ordered something German.

I was an enchilada cook at Casa Bonita from May of 77 to June of 78. That was at the 39th & Portland location. For the price it was good food. All of us that worked there ate it. Fun place to work as a teenager.

You must'a never made it to Big Ed's. Now that was a big burger!

That burger was huge! I think there is still a Big Eds open on North Penn.

The Tulsa Casa Bonita at 21st and Sheridan closed down permanently in 2011, it was not very good. It was better in the 1970's but when it reopened it was not the same.

Panchos on Admiral closed a few years ago, it was not my favorite either.

Truth is there are so many good Mexican restaurants now it's hard to choose one.

I wish Penningtons that was in Brookside would reopen, but it probably wouldn't be the same.
