Yep, neither is a smart move in that hunting environment.

I do not enter the woods with safety on Sorry guys i just do not do it.
Keep your finger off the trigger. keep muzzle pointed in a safe direction at all times..and there is always a round in the chamber.
My house guns are Not on safety and the round is in the chamber.
Never had an issue with them like that.
Some may like safeties or an empty chamber I do not.
My buddy asked me if I wanted to go hog hunting with him and he uses knives and ropes.
He said when a hog charges it comes at you in a straight line..You step to the side at the last moment and stick it in the side with a huge knife as it goes by.
I had 1 hog run at me and it just ran right under my legs never turned..It was probably 80 lbs though..little guy.

This is why I still have a Ruger 44 Carbine; semi-auto 44 Magnum 265 grain softpoints moving at 1700fps. I may never get to try it on hogs and end up trading it, but it's ready if that ever comes up.
Interesting to watch but this rarely happens. Not while hunting with a gun anyway.
Me too. I have a couple AR platforms that far exceed the performance of a 5.56. One of them is a 12 ga.

Agreed. Appear to be driven hunts. And, both very fine calibers!
A good 6 inch or longer barrel in 357 MAG or 44 MAG with the right ammo would be good in real tight quarters. It looked like some of the folks could not get their rifle barrel in position to make a good shot.
I would want to wear leg guards because one of those pigs gashes you on the run and hits the main artery in the leg you will definitely bleed out.
