I’ve always liked Johnnie’s back when Johnny ran the store on Britton Rd. Now the one near my place is ran by some kid with a hole in his ear. They offer half price between 2 and 6 M-F if you’re over 60 so I go there once in a while. Johnny would be rolling over in his grave if he saw the kind of service they offer now. ICE needs to take a short bus and clear out the kitchen.

I went to a Johnny's once around twenty years ago. I don't know if that location is even open anymore. I never went back because it was overpriced and I left still hungry.

You never had to worry about leaving Casa Bonita's hungry. [emoji16]

What about the ghetto one on 10th or 23rd?

I don’t remember one there. The one on NE63rd about MacArthur is still there. There was one in Norman that closed several years ago.

There is a Cajun/Southern place on NE23rd east of Douglas that is good. Something Bistro.

Edit: Brielle’s Bistro

I worked at A&W one summer as a teen. Was making chili and my root beer on the window sill fell in, I just stirred it in.:anyone:
Which one and when? If it was in OKC, you may have worked with my mom or cousins, as her Uncle owned all the A&W Franchises and rights till he sold em to Santiago or who ever stuck em with LJS and KFC's. She worked there as a teen, and my cousins worked and ran it for their dad till they closed the doors.

I remember as a kid when we got an A&W in Claremore.
My first job was a carhop at A&W in Ponca. No buffet, just what you ordered off the drive up menu speaker.
.45 cents an hour for a wage plus tips which was usually very little back in the 60's. Whopping 3 bucks a shift for an evenings work, but it was money!

When I said "buffet" I didn't mean like an all you could eat kinda thing. The buffet island consisted of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, cheese, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, etc. Toppings for your burger. The burger came wrapped in wax paper and it was meat and bun. That's it.
