They worry more about collecting your personal information than they do about retaining their customers.
Bought two items, paid cash. Take them back for a refund and they ask for my drivers license. I tell them no. Here's the receipt. I paid you $15 cash. Just give back my $15. Neither the clerk nor the the Mgr would refund so I asked for it again, louder. She then got on the phone and came back saying "I found a way to do it'" What a crock of excrement!
IMO that policy needs to be on a sign near the entrance of every store that does that. </rant>
