Yes the latest G17 is what I would like or maybe even a MOS version. The grip cutout doesn't really bother me but I would prefer no cutout.

I really liked the balance of the G45 but I'm sure I would be happy with a G17.5.

The grip cutout is not and issue for me in a 17, but it is a nightmare for me in a 19.

Nice guns guys!

I really need to shoot a G17.5 and a G45 side by side to determine which one I prefer.

I have a 19.5 that is fine but I want the longer grip.

Get both!

Im surprised the G17M doesn't have a beveled frame to match the slide.

The 17M was basically a Gen 5 released pre Gen 5. The early Gen 5 frames were not beveled also.

I believe they started beveling the Gen 5s to match the slide after the first 3-4 months of production

These 17Ms, although recently released, have frames that were manufactured much earlier than the 17.5 I have that was purchased a year ago. (Based on the frame ID number, not serial). I would assume these are contract overruns or parts from the overruns. The internals are not DLC coated like the contract guns however. So it is possible they were later assembled from some earlier components.
