I make it with and w/o beans. Prefer no beans. Our recipe changes a little each time we make it also. Ground beef with sausage, diced tomatoes, chili powder, garlic,cumin, Rotel, ketchup or BBQ sauce, and some other stuff. I also like Jiffy cornbread and onions on the side.

I finally had some venison that tasted good. I guess it was bled or dressed correctly. I would use it if I had more for chili.

I’ve bought dried peppers and made my own before but honestly it’s so much work I just buy seasoning. And for packaged seasoning I like Williams but it’s no sodium added, so I have to get a bit liberal adding the salt myself while cooking.
Yup! Williams for the win!

I prefer mine with beans, but not a lot. For 2 pounds of meat I might add one can of chili beans or pintos.
