Saw in the comments to train a dog to sniff them out. Probably work well but better have a lot of spare tracking dogs to replace those that find the biggins.

Yup a dog and a 12 ft plus python might mean another dog.. Years ago we lived in Dixie county, Old Town, the nature coast wonderful place to be damn sure southern red neck country, we loved it but employment was scarce.. The snakes won't make it up that far, their limited to the everglades or extreme south.. An out of towner couldn't make enough $$ to make ends meet, never mind a profit.. I raised the Burmese pythons their having problems with many years ago and a 12-14 ft girl will lay 50-60 eggs.. They ought to be able to get a handle on them if they employ enough hunters.. Here's a gal who was visiting from Kansas who had a great time handling our thickies.. The snake pictured is about 25-30 pounds and enjoyed rabbits for a meal..
