The first based on the fact that we all know the reason you can’t buy on Sunday is 100% based on religion otherwise Sunday would be no different than Tuesday.
The First Amendment has nothing to do with the states; it only regulates Congress's power to make laws regarding speech, establishment of religion, etc ("Congress shall make no law..."). You might be able to bring the Fourteenth Amendment into it, but it'd still be a stretch.

As I live close to Kansas, I have a story.
Kansas didn't allow any beer or liquor to be sold on Sundays back in the day. About two miles south of the Kansas border, there was a guy that opened a store to sell beer and burgers on Sunday. The folks in Kansas that forgot to buy beer on Saturday covered him up. Others on this forum know who I'm talking about.

Arkansas doesn't allow alcohol sales on Sundays either. A few years ago after the county that siloam springs is in became "wet" I drove over there to get some adult beverages that were not sold in Oklahoma. They refused to sell it to me because, Sunday.
